Bruce Wilson, Sara, Neill and CL. Bruce flies out Monday, September 21, a day ahead of the others. Sara flies in from Washington and Neill and CL from Atlanta, all landing in Nice on September 23. All four spend a week in Menton, then from September 30 to October 9 are on the Road Scholar programme "Provence Canal Voyage: The Flavor of France by Barge", Avignon to Toulouse. Bruce and Sara fly home October 9; Neill and CL stay on in France until October 13.

All four. Train from Menton at 9:02 AM via Nice and Marseille (TGV) to Avignon Centre, arriving 2:07 PM. The Road Scholar programme starts that evening with orientation and a welcome dinner in Avignon.

All four. October 1: Avignon and Les Baux-de-Provence by day, then embarkation at Arles in the afternoon. The barge runs Arles → Gallician → Aigues-Mortes → Maguelone → Sète along the Canal du Rhône à Sète, with field trips to Arles, the Camargue, Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, Aigues-Mortes and Sète. Disembarkation at Sète on the morning of October 7.
